  • Denis G. King, DVM

    Dr. Denis King graduated from UK in 1981 with an Animal Science degree and then went on to graduate from Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. Purchased the Frankfort Animal Clinic with his wife Myra in 1986. He enjoys all facets of practice with an emphasis on surgery, ultra-sound and preventive medicine.

    He and Myra have 3 sons:
    Wade who is a graduate of Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine and works at Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists in Louisville, KY.
    Logan who is a graduate of Auburn University where he received a Masters in Aerospace Engineering. He is living and working in Huntsville, Alabama as an engineer.
    Zachary is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where here received a degree in Accounting.  He has obtained his CPA certification and is currently in his 1st year of Law School at Emory University in Atlanta. 

    They live on a small farm with 3 dogs.

  • Stephanie Kennedy, DVM

    Dr. Stephanie Mace Kennedy joined the Frankfort Animal Clinic in 1998 after graduation from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kennedy also worked here as an assistant and receptionist after graduation from high school and during her undergraduate studies at Kentucky State University.

    Her focus in the practice is preventative and internal medicine.

    Dr. Kennedy is married to Jack Kennedy and has two children, Savannah & Jack. They share their home with 4 dogs and a cat.

  • Doug Peterson, DVM

    Dr Doug Peterson, a native of Lebanon, KY, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Kentucky and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with high honor from Auburn University. He has practiced in Houston, TX and Jefferson City, TN before purchasing Animal Hospital in Bowling Green in 1990. He sold his practice in Bowling Green and moved to Richmond where he practiced at the 24 hour emergency clinic as well as managed 4 veterinary practices before coming to Frankfort Animal Clinic.


    Dr. Peterson likes all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a special interest in surgery. In addition to practice in the US, he has also practiced in Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua on mission trips. He serves on the board of directors for the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association currently as the Vice-President.


    Dr. Peterson is married to Julie Carr Peterson and has 2 children, Phillip and Kristen, 2 dogs and 2 horses. In his spare time he flies hot air balloons commercially and enjoys woodworking and golf.

  • Lynn Morgan, DVM

    Dr. Lynn Morgan is a native of Erlanger, in northern Kentucky and earned a Bachelors of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati.  She earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University.  She completed an equine surgical internship in Lexington and went on to work in several mixed animal practices in Indiana, North Carolina, and Maryland.

    Dr. Morgan has a particular interest in internal medicine, ultrasonography, and geriatric medicine. She has worked to earn diplomat status in the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) in both equine and canine/feline fields.  She joined FAC in August 2016.

    Dr. Morgan is happily married to Noel Morgan and has 3 dogs and 2 cats.  In her spare time, she is an avid reader and enjoys crafting.  She also enjoys studying languages and traveling.
